Last Day Of Year 2005
Another year is about to disappear, never to see the light of the day again.
Year 2005 will never be reinstated, joining its predecessor, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998 and many more years.
How time flies since we celebrated the crossover of the Millennium, Year 1999 to Year 2000. And now, no one bothers about it anymore.
Although people are still celebrating the countdown, I sometimes really wonder, do they really have to do it? What is there to celebrate that something will never be here again? Do we celebrate the lost of our love ones? Do we celebrate the lost of our friends? Do we celebrate the lost of our jobs and business contracts? We do not celebrate the lost of anything unless that something causes us pain and sufferings, for example, the lost of a cancerous tumor from our body.
We have taken time for granted, thinking that it will be here forever. But this is not true. Time is always counting down, leaving our grasp. The next blink of an eye, another year would have passed. Do we really wish that time flies?
Personally, I feel that time have passed too quickly. And I would love to slow it down. However, I know that this is impossible and hence, I just have to make full use of the present remaining time and savor the last few moments with Year 2005.
After Year 2005 has gone, I will then fully embrace the new birth of Year 2006.
